Instructions to Build Submersible Fishing Lights

Submersible fishing lights are used under water, to attract fish. These waterproof fishing lights can be submerged to the depth of the water. There are few instructions to build the submersible fishing lights, such as:

First take an empty 2 ltr bottle and put nuts and bolts into it until it sinks in water. Later add few more nuts and keep it side.

Add the 5 inches of solid copper wire into a single filament automotive bulb’s primary and ground contacts by using solder. Use a red colored wire the center pole and black colored wire for the body of the bulb. Cover the soldered bulb wires with duct tape to support the connection. Leave the glass of the bulb which is to be exposed.

Make a small hole into the bottle cap, which should be sufficient to push the both of the solid wires with the bulb on the screw side. Leave around 4½ inches space between the bulb and cap.

In order to seal the wires to the cap apply silicon liberally to both sides of the bottle cap. Make sure that you leave enough screw threads visible to secure the cap to the bottle. Give some time to silicon to dry.

Later solder loose ends of the solid wires to separate, but equal lengths of 14 gauge wires. Silicone can be applied to both solder points and make it dry. Cover the points individually by using duct tape.

Put the cap onto the bottle, after placing the bulb into the body of the bottle. There should be a space around the bulb to not to touch the sides of the bottle. In order to create an empty space, press in on the sides of the bottle before tightening the cap. Heat of the bulb can cause the air to expand, therefore it will break.

By using silicon, seal the cap onto the bottle, make it dry. Cover the cap by using duct tape. Connect the exposed ends of the wire to correct posts of a battery. Submerge the entire bottle to the equalizing depth of the air and bolts inside of it.
