Providing roof and bed for guests is not enough for a hotel room, today. It is necessary to provide some comforts and facilities in order to satisfy the customers, irrespective of the size of the hotel.

There are some basic requirements, which are required by customers, such as:

  • Generally, any customer, wants the room to be clean and neat.
  • The hotel should be in a convenient location, that means, it should be in the city and should have easy access to the public transportation. People who want to drive, expect secure and locked parking area in a hotel.
  • Hotel room should have a solid door with secure lock which is designed to minimize the noise from outside.
  • Hotel bedding should be clean and neat and it should have mattresses, pillows, and bedsheets.
  • Closet space should be enough in a hotel room to the customers, in case they want to stay more than one night.
  • A room should have windows and good lighting.
  • Two phones, one near the bed and one on the desk, are required by the customers. And there should be a voice mail. The hotel authorities should also provide provide free wireless local area network.
  • There should be sufficient accessible electrical outlets in a room.
  • A TV with a good selection of channels a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, ironing board and iron are essential.
  • Curtains for windows.
  • Bathroom should be clean and neat. Hotel slippers to be used in room.

These are the basic requirements of a hotel room, which are asked by the customers to provide.
